Best Car Insurance

Everyone has a different view to what's the meaning of best car insurance. Some say the cheaper the better and others will say lower excess higher premium.

To be honest, both options can be good. We would say best car insurance is when everything is right. There's no point of having cheap car insurance when your excess is massive. If you are not too sure what an excess is or how it can affect your insurance policy when you have a claim, please click for Car Insurance Excess Advice

The best motor insurance policy is when your car is covered for the right things such as theft or fault claims.

Having a higher excess can reduce your car insurance quote but this will reduce the money you will recive in an event of a successful claim. Please read the example below which explains what we mean.

Example:

Car Insurance Premium: £900.00

Policy Excess: £500.00

Insurance Cover: Comprehensive

Value Of Your Car: £5000

Referring to the example above, if your car was stolen, you would be paid out £5000 minus £500 (The excess) = £4500.

Please note: The value of your car depends on the market value at the time of the claim and NOT the price you paid for it. Always declare the correct value of the vehicle as this can sometime make your insurance quote cheaper.
