Limited Mileage Insurance

Having a limited mileage insurance policy can save you money on your car and bike insurance. A lot of insurers will discount the policy if you agree to have a limited mileage policy.

How Will The Company Know I'm Doing Limited Mileage?

When you accept an insurance policy, most documents will ask you to declare the current mileage on your vehicle. The insurer or broker will then have your mileage on record.

Please Note: If you have a declared to have a limited mileage insurance policy and you go over the agreed miles, then your insurance can be VOID. Some insurers accept extra mileage allowance subject to an additional premium.

Is a Limited Mileage Car Insurance Policy a High or Low Risk?

Some insurers say it's a low risk as the vehicle is not on the road so often.

If you work in the city and commute to work by public transport, some insurance companies will judge this as a high risk beacuse the vehicle is always parked in the same place for a long time unattended. Which can easily lead to theft of the vehicle.
